Dance music LPs have been cranking out faster than Charlie Sheen’s target heartrate lately. First, we Had Nero’s Welcome Reality. Then came Porter Robinson’s Spitfire (yeah, I know it’s listed as an EP, but I’m calling bullshit on that one).
Not to be left out of the mega-producer album release club, Wolfgang Gartner drops his Weekend In America today. The “Bonus Track” version is available on iTunes as we speak, and the “Deluxe Extended” version will be on Beatport in a few hours.
The album is structured similarly to Nero’s, in that in contains more or less every notable single the artist has released this year, as well as a healthy smattering of new joints. The recognizable tracks off the iTunes version are Space Junk, Menage a Trois, Illmerica, and Forever (feat. Wil. I. Am). Everything else is fresh and new, and made with the signature Wolfgang gloss and glitz. I’ve included one of his previously released tracks from the album, two new ones, and his BBC Essential Mix below for your listening pleasure. Enjoy kiddies!
