Car insurance

I don’t know what it is about Jay-Z material that gets constant remix and mashup attention. We’ve had Collision Course (his official six-tracker with Linkin Park), The Grey Album (a mashup LP crafted from the Beatles White Album and Jay-Z’s Black Album, by DJ Danger Mouse) and Jaydiohead (a Jay-Z/Radiohead carwreck produced by New York producer Max Tannone).

Whatever the reason, we’ve got another one. This time, it’s an L.A. electro-dub-moombahton treatment from Market Price. Definitely hands-up rave material, they take Watch The Throne, Jay and Kanye’s already dance-influenced album, and put it through the wringer. What’s cool and gratifying about it, besides the overwhelming merit of each individual track, is the diversity of EDM sounds within. Sometimes it sounds like Skrillex, sometimes it sounds like Wolfgang Gartner, sometimes it sounds like Dillon Francis, and sometimes it sounds like Major Lazer . They’ve definitely been getting well-deserved blog love from places like MTV Hive, Pigeons And Planes, Idolator, and Earmilk. You just might be kind of an asshole if you don’t download it.
