Designer Drugs makes me happy. Their debut album Hardcore/Softcore released on Ultra Records. on February 22, 2011, and I have to say releasing a full-length album in my opinion was a bold move, but honestly I’m actually happily surprised on how the album turned out. The 13 track compilation of paraphernalia of hallucinogens and stimulants gives us a heavy dose of that Designer Drugs sound we always love. Three tracks on the album have already been released (Riot, Drop Down, and Through The Prism) songs that we have probably posted on here before haha, but nevertheless still very good.

Out of the whole album, one song that I particularly favor is “Dead Meat Feat. All Leather”, mainly for its grunge-like vocals and its heavy instrumentals that makes me want to dance every time, a true Designer Drugs vibe. Another track that I particularly like is “Crazy For You Feat. Annie”. I am a sucker for female vocalists on electro tracks and Annie gives them a disco/dance flavor which makes it very upbeat and very good to the ear.
I love every second of the album and it is a big step for them to attract new people to their sound.

Preview and purchase the entire album on Itunes!
By the way I am very generous and like to give stuff out, so here’s the first track on their debut album Hardcore/Softcore, “Dead Meat Feat. All Leather.”
Enjoy!
